Russian working youth: Strategies to achieve wellbeing

The article presents the results of analysis strategies to achieve wellbeing among Russian working youth. is based on survey 1121 respondents between 20 and 30 years old, living in Moscow major cities eight federal districts Russia. describes following five strategies. (1) “Familism” a predominantly female strategy directed at attaining work-life balance. It characterized by high life satisfaction, low work career as well labor mobility. (2) “Rational consumerism” includes economical use family resources savings activities. reflects predominance materialistic values, an orientation towards moderate quiet life, absence professional ambitions. (3) “Networking entrepreneurship” pronounced achievementoriented accumulation social capital entrepreneurial activity. moral nihilism orientations personal responsibility self-efficiency. (4) “Investing development” work-centric focused increasing knowledge acquisition new skills, together with efforts. This male strategy, more typical for from regions compared Moscow.
